Gigapixel Tagging System
A public Tagging system where viewers can leave comments within views. Although this isn`t a Gigapixel it will certainly work with them.
Busy Times
Been very busy recently – mainly ground based though with Panos for Nintendo, OPSM, Apple and a number of wineries. Also designing a multi-platform pano engine and a number of other things
Vancouver Again!
I’m off to Vancouver Again to shoot aerial panoramas just east of Vancouver Island for a Heli Fishing Resort! – My Equipment is all packed up including the 5Ds – I spent a whole week reducing weight to the frame and trying other folding possibilities.
Although it will mainly be for aerial panoramas, I hope to capture some video footage for the resort with Ryan of NS360.
Tours From Above = slightly very popular
For a startup – this little site by Tom Mills and myself is going quite well, hits are around the 10,000 a day mark at the moment and growing steadily – Hope to get more aerials on it soon!
Canberra Video360 Testing
This week I have been testing 360Video with newly modified rig with 12.5% tilt (and a drill bit through one finger:( ) in Canberra – The capital Of Australia.
I have already captured over 200 aerial panoramas above this great little city for Simmersion. Initial testing showed that after camera sync that HD video capture is possible at around 3000 by 1500 pixels.
Sydney and Melbourne
I have just returned form a Quick trip to Sydney and Melbourne to capture the skies above both cities – Over 60 aerial panoramas in 2 hours flight including places like the Olympic Village, Opera House, MCG, Bondi Beach, Docklands and many others – Here are some links:

I also experimented with HDR Aerials using a modified BIOS hack which forced 3 brackets in 1/5th of a second – you will see that at Maquarie Lighthouse in Sydney. The first of its kind in the world I`m sure.
